The second quiz will be a take home open book quiz.
From the text book, Section 1.7
Do problems: 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 18

For extra credit look on the web:
uniform building code rise run stairs

Answer the following questions:

  1. What is an acceptable rise and run based on code? (Note: this is the slope of the stairs)
  2. Compute the ratio of the rise to the run, in other words the slope.
  3. Measure the rise and run for a specific set of stairs and see if meets code.
  4. Measure the total height of the stairs the total run of the stairs.
